ASBIS APPOINTS NEW NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Kristian Teär has more than 30 years of international leadership experience across the telecommunications, consumer electronics, digital infrastructure, and luxury technology sectors. 

Before joining ASBIS, Mr. Teär held the position of Chief Executive Officer of Bang & Olufsen, a position he held from 2019 to January 2026. During his tenure, he led a successful corporate turnaround and spearheaded the company’s strategic transformation into a globally recognized luxury technology and lifestyle brand. Prior to Bang & Olufsen, Mr. Teär held senior executive positions at Logitech, BlackBerry, and Sony Ericsson. He began his career at Ericsson, where he spent 18 years in a series of progressively senior leadership roles, culminating in appointments as Regional President for Southeast Asia, Central Europe, and Central America.

In addition to his executive career, Mr. Teär has extensive board and governance experience. He has served as Chairman of Note AB, one of the Nordic region’s leading electronics manufacturing services companies, and as a board member of Tampnet AS. He has also acted as an Industrial Advisor to EQT AB, one of Europe’s leading private equity firms.

Mr. Teär is widely recognized for his strategic leadership, value creation, and ability to drive large-scale business transformation in global organizations. He brings extensive experience in corporate governance, capital markets, investor relations, mergers and acquisitions, and stakeholder engagement across Europe, Asia, and the Americas.

Mr. Teär holds a Master of Science degree from the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm, Sweden, and has completed Ericsson’s Executive MBA program in collaboration with Columbia University, New York.
