PRESS RELEASE - 4 May 2022; Limassol, Cyprus, and Warsaw, Poland

ASBISc Enterprises Plc, a leading Value-Added Distributor, developer and supplier of IT and IoT products, solutions and services in the growing markets of Europe, Middle East and Africa, published today a financial forecast for 2022. According to the projections, the Group plans that sales revenues in 2022 will be between USD 2.2 billion and USD 2.4 billion, while net profit after tax will be between USD 48 million USD and 52 million USD.

The published financial forecast results from the Company's strategy including, but not limited to, greater focus on:

  • computing and IT products,
  • consumer electronics products, including the Group's own brand products (AENO, Prestigio, Canyon and Lorgar), distributed through thru Retail, e-Tail and SMB routes to market,
  • Group solutions designed for data centers for medium and large enterprises in the markets in which ASBIS operates.

Costas Tziamalis, Deputy CEO of ASBIS Group, commented: “After a record year for us in 2021, ASBIS entered a very strong year in 2022, with plans for further growth and development. However, we had to revise our expectations and adjust our activities to the current geopolitical situation. We anticipate that 2022 will be another year of ASBIS focus on profitability, not revenues. The war in Ukraine and the difficulties with operating in conflicted markets confirmed our belief that strong companies that have cash and are flexible in action will survive even the most difficult crises. ASBIS falls into this category.”

Costas Tziamalis, added: “Thanks to the record profits generated in 2021 and the profits that, despite the difficult market environment, we plan to develop this year, we will continue to implement our mission of providing best in class services to our clients in our markets. And so far, we stand by our declaration of sharing the profits with our shareholders.”

The selected significant assumptions regarding the financial results forecast for 2022 are as follows:

  • as of May 2022, the conflict between Russia and Ukraine will de-escalate,
  • there will be no further attacks by Russia on other countries of Company’s activity,
  • no sanctions will be imposed on other countries in which Company operate,
  • there will be no further blockages that could lead to the closure of retail stores and a significant reduction in consumer spending,
  • the political situation in the markets not involved in the war in Ukraine will not deteriorate, and the financial situation in these markets will be stable,
  • the financial situation in the main markets, such as Kazakhstan, the United Arab Emirates and Slovakia, will not deteriorate compared to 2021,
  • there will be no significant currency devaluation in the main markets of the Group and therefore it will not adversely affect the demand in these markets.
